About Measurements:
Vintage sizing is not the same as modern clothing, and shoulders and arm holes tend to be small. A 50's dress may have a tiny waist in proportion to the bust and hips, because its original owner wore a girdle or waist cincher. To determine a good fit with vintage, you should compare the garment's measurements with a garment you already own, remembering that clothing needs to measure larger than you do, or else it will be too tight. Allow 1-4 inches of breathing room, depending on how tight or loose you want the item to fit. A flapper dress will be loose on the body while a wiggle dress will hug your curves.
If you have any questions regarding fit, feel free to email .
Please also note, often the clothing is pinned on the mannequin to illustrate how it will look on a person who properly fills it out. Here are some charts we use to help you measure.

About Item Condition:
Items sold on this website are in excellent, wearable vintage condition except when noted. Please see each item description regarding any flaws or special fragility. There are no stains, holes, fading, snags, pills, storage odors or other issues unless specified. Vintage clothing had a life elsewhere before it found me, and may have been exposed to potential allergens such as dust, pet dander or cigarette smoke, but I do wash, dry clean and/or steam items, as appropriate for their age and condition, and the Morning Glorious Vintage studio is smoke free and pet free.
I am a proud juried member of the Vintage Fashion Guild and meet their exacting standards of professionalism.
About Returns:
If you are not totally thrilled with your purchase, please leave the tags on the garment and contact me within 3 days of receipt of your package to request a return or exchange. I use your Delivery Confirmation date to establish delivery time, and am very sorry that I can not honor later requests for refunds or for items where the tags have been cut. Buyers pay return shipping and a 10% restocking fee, unless I've made an error, in which case I'll cover all shipping costs and waive the restocking fee. Refunds may be for cash back or credit toward another purchase on the Morning Glorious website.
If you have Vintage to sell...
I selectively purchase items, from individual pieces to entire closets full. I also take some items on consignment. Please email us photos and/or send a brief description of items you wish to part with, or better yet, stop by the shop! In general, I rarely buy newer clothing, polyester, fur coats or post-1940 wedding dresses. If you have mid-1960's or earlier ladies AND men's clothing, in natural fibers, with buttons, snaps or metal zippers, please give me a call!
