About Measurements:
Vintage sizing is not the same as modern clothing, and shoulders and arm holes tend to be small. A 50's dress may have a tiny waist in proportion to the bust and hips, because its original owner wore a girdle or waist cincher. To determine a good fit with vintage, you should compare the garment's measurements with a garment you already own, remembering that clothing needs to measure larger than you do, or else it will be too tight. Allow 1-4 inches of breathing room, depending on how tight or loose you want the item to fit. A flapper dress will be loose on the body while a wiggle dress will hug your curves.
If you have any questions regarding fit, feel free to email us.
Please also note, often the clothing is pinned on the mannequin to illustrate how it will look on a person who properly fills it out. Here are some charts we use to help you measure.

About Item Condition:
Items sold on this website are in excellent, wearable vintage condition except when noted. Please see each item description regarding any flaws or special fragility. There are no stains, holes, fading, snags, pills, storage odors or other issues unless specified. Vintage clothing had a life elsewhere before it found us, and may have been exposed to potential allergens such as dust, pet dander or smoke, but all our items are washed, dry cleaned and/or steamed, as appropriate, while here, and the Morning Glorious Vintage studio is smoke free and pet free.
We are proud members of the Vintage Fashion Guild and meet their exacting standards of professionalism.
About Returns:
If you are not totally thrilled with your purchase, please contact us within 3 days of receipt of your package to request a return or exchange. We use your Delivery Confirmation date to establish delivery time, and we are very sorry that we can not honor later requests for refunds. Buyers pay return shipping and a 10% restocking fee, unless we've made an error, in which case we'll cover all shipping costs and waive the restocking fee. Refunds may be for cash back or credit toward another purchase on the Morning Glorious website.
Studio Visits:
Morning Glorious is located in Grafton, Vermont. We do NOT have a store front open to the public at this time, however we sometimes receive visitors by appointment. Clothing is available for purchase and we also can do a 3 day costume rental with your full deposit. Please email or call 802-843-1111 for setting up a visit and for directions.
If you have Vintage to sell...
We selectively purchase items, from individual pieces to entire closets full. We also occasionally represent clients selling their items on a consignment basis. Please email us photos and/or send a brief description of items you wish to part with. In general, we rarely buy fur coats or wedding dresses, and only a little bit of really fabulous polyester. If you have mid-1960's or earlier ladies AND men's clothing, in natural fibers, with buttons, snaps or metal zippers, please give us a call!
